GZAGG presents Publishing Punk at San Diego Central Library
Grrrl Zines A Go-Go will present a history of San Diego’s Punk culture from the 1970’s through the 1990’s via DIY (Do It Yourself), self published, small circulation zines. From music journalism to alternative life-styles and punk politics, we will get a first person, bottom-up perspective of one of San Diego’s ever thriving, underground movements. There will be a zine making workshop after the presentation, participants will create a group zine which will then be added the San Diego Public Library’s new zine collection! Vegan and traditional pastries will be provided by Donut Panic.

Workshops and Portable Zine Library for Herbalists
We’ll be teaching at the New England Women’s Herbal Conference and bringing our brand-spanking new Portable Zine Library with us.
Our zine workshop will be with the teen girls of Circle Within A Circle. Our other workshop will be how to make your own little nature journal. We’ll have our zine library, newly built for this conference, available during breaks and meal times for folks to peruse and create.
One more at SDMART
This time we’re doing a regular workshop at the San Diego Museum of Art. June 17th. We love it because the zine produced by the group will become part of their archives. It’s the centennial of Balboa Park too, so some reflecting on teens in time and and space.
